Fall creativity

Fall creativity

There’s something about fall that sets off my creative drive. Waves of inspiration shift with the seasons, and fall always feels like a creative turning point for me. The air is crisp but gentle, the light softer — everything seems touched with texture. The changing leaves, weathered wood, woven scarves — they all seem to echo the layered elements I love to create in my ceramics. Even though I don’t love losing daylight, I do love how evenings arrive a little earlier, giving me time to settle in and work quietly. The season invites reflection and planning — it’s when I start planning patterns and shapes for winter collections, experimenting with designs.

Fall always reminds me that creativity moves in waves — full of change, rhythm, and renewal — and I’m leaning into that energy as I plan what’s next.
